Our young scientists in KS1 have been continuing to explore the world of materials this week. Through fun hands-on activities, the children investigated why certain objects are made of specific materials! There was lots of great scientific vocabulary being used as they investigated which materials were “opaque”, “transparent” and “translucent”, before selecting an appropriate material to design their own curtains!
