Today is Safer Internet Day. We took the opportunity to review our knowledge of how to keep safe whilst being online by joining in with the Be Internet Legends assembly. We have 5 main pillars that are designed to help us keep safe.
- Be Sharp – Think before you tap
- Be Alert – Check it’s for real
- Be Secure – Protect your stuff
- Be Kind – Respect each other
- Be Brave – When in doubt, discuss
Our pupils have very good ideas to address all these pillars – some are harder than others to spot or to carry out, but we must all try hard to keep safe. An important lesson was that if something does happen that worries, upsets or concerns us, we must tell someone to help work through what to do.
