Welcome to Red Rose Primary School
We are really looking forward to welcoming you and your child to Red Rose Primary School. There is a lot to tell you about your child starting our school. All the information can be accessed from this page by using the links below.
You have received a Pupil Data Collection Sheet. We use this data in our school database (SIMS) for the legal processes including registering your child. Please complete this and return it to school.
We also gather information regarding consent for various situations: photos, emergency medications. This form will be sent to you electronically in September. Please complete this as soon as possible after receiving it.

- We’ll ask you for your email address and consent for photos to be used on Tapestry.

- We’ll ask you for consent to help your child to apply sunscreen via this letter.
In September
- School Gateway (communication system) and Parent Pay (system for payments)
We use School Gateway App as our communication system. When we have your name, email and mobile number from the Information Sheet, we will then send you instruction on how to download, install and activate the app. All messages will then be sent via this app regarding school events, information and updates.

Preliminary visits to Red Rose
We would like to invite your child to 2 preliminary visits. You will have recieved a letter letting you know which group your child is in for these visits: either Group A or Group B

Wednesday 1st July – Guided Tour and Lunch
11:00am Guided tour with some of our older pupils
11:30am – 12:00am Lunch provided for your child.
Wednesday 24th June: Summer Fair from 3:30pm
Gathering Consent
- Consent Form – you will be sent an online form in September for the various consents that we require including using images, emergency medical, school well-being dog etc. Our policy is to resend this consent form at the start of each school year to keep up-to-date with this important information.
Start of Term – September 2025
| Wednesday 2nd Sept | Children will be given an allocated start time between 9am and 10am (Information will be shared at the Wine and Cheese evening) to allow for small groups to be welcomed into their new environment. All children will remain in school until 2pm (including lunch). |
| Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th Sept | Session: 9am - 2pm (including lunch). |
| Monday 7th Sept onwards | 8.55am - 3.05pm (until October half term to allow the children to become familiar with the end of day routines and then 3:15pm finish). |
