This week at school, we’ve been commemorating VE Day 2025 with thoughtful reflection and meaningful activities. By watching various Newsround episodes, we’ve not only stayed connected with the events of the week but also deepened our understanding of World War II and its lasting global impact. These insights have helped us honour this historic date with the respect it deserves. We took part in the 2 minutes silence at 12 o’clock.
To mark the occasion, we enjoyed a special picnic-style lunch prepared by the Chartwells kitchen team. This was a fitting nostalgic nod to the street parties that would have taken place in celebration 80 years ago when peace was declared in Europe.
