A brilliant sports day! With field events in the morning followed by the track races in the afternoon, our sports day showed us how much we value and enjoy sport. We were very lucky with the weather in that it wasn’t the blazing heat of Monday and the rain held off (just!).
Our school is organised into houses, named after castles in the area. The castles (Durham, Lambton, Lumley and Raby) then compete against each other.
After the morning events, Durham were nudging ahead of Lambton. The Key Stage 2 track races saw Lambton beat Durham, but in the EYFS and Key Stage 1 races, Durham were victorious.
So overall scores were calculated giving the following sports day results:
4th place: Raby
3rd place: Lumley
2nd place: Lambton
1st place: Durham
