Today, year 3 and 4 visited a Hindu Temple in Newcastle as part of their RE curriculum. The visit started off with a recap of the Hindu Gods that they have learned about during RE lessons this term. They then walked around the temple to observe the shrines before witnessing a Hindu prayer that is part of worship. They really enjoyed seeing what they had learned about in real life. This was all after having a Cultural Passport day on Tuesday; where they learned about making an emergency phone call, saw how to create a storybook and experienced some mindfulness exercises.
