We have started, in partnership with the Re-f-use Cafe, in Chester-le-Street, an Eat Smart project. The aim of the project is to reduce food waste. The Waste Warriors have done a survey of the food waste in the dining hall and are coming up with an action plan to help reduce how much food is thrown away. They would love to hear your suggestions. This week, each class had a workshop that explained the huge processes that have to happen to put food on our tables.
