The Rights Respecting children had a fantastic trip to the Re-f-use Cafe in Chester-le-Street. Whilst there, the children shared the work they have done in school on the Eat Smart project with the project funders. The funders had travelled all the way from Norway and were very impressed with the children’s efforts! The Eat Smart project is an initiative that the children in school took part in to learn about reducing food waste. The project has achieved an 11% reduction in food waste during the lunch time serving. Impressive! The children also visited the cafe warehouse and completed several activities learning about other ways to reduce food waste.
