On Tuesday afternoon, our two year 5 classes presented to parents an Easter Coffee afternoon. The aim of the afternoon was to show what year 5 had learned about Easter. There was information about Ash Wednesday and Lent and then there was a little drama about ‘The Last Supper’. The pupils also sang about Jesus entering Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and Him rising on Easter Sunday.
Also, April Showers was sung and an idea of the secular traditions around Easter was told including the giving of Easter Eggs, taking part in Easter Egg hunts and decorating eggs.
The school had decorated eggs only a day before the coffee afternoon! The winners across each class in the school were : Amelie, Ethan, Ayda, Sage, Hallie, Eva, Flo, Max, Isla, Charlie and Esmay.
