Yesterday, the Dance Club proudly represented Red Rose at the annual Dance Festival, organised by the Durham and Chester-le-Street School Sports Partnership. The event took place at the Gala Theatre in Durham, where our dancers, cheered on by parents and fellow schools, delivered performances worthy of Strictly Come Dancing!
Our Year 3 and 4 dancers wowed the audience with a lively routine to Revolting Children from the musical Matilda, showcasing energetic choreography that perfectly matched the music. Meanwhile, our Year 5 and 6 dancers performed an exciting medley of Star Wars music, seamlessly transitioning from Lord Vader’s iconic march to the jazzy Cantina Band theme and the epic Duel of the Fates.
Both teams demonstrated the dedication and hard work they put into preparing for this event. Well done to everyone who took part—from Matilda to Yoda!
