We were delighted to welcome Stacey Bone, the author and illustrator of The Wonderful Woodlouse, to school today for a series of inspiring workshops. From Reception up to Year Two, our budding writers and artists explored themes of bravery, kindness, and celebrating our differences through the magic of storytelling.
Reception started their session with bug-themed yoga and imaginative play, eventually creating their own miniature beasts using pinecones and pipe cleaners. Year One and Year Two took a deep dive into the creative process, viewing original sketches before designing their own sequel characters. The classrooms were buzzing as children brought their stories to life, crafting lollipop stick puppets to act out scenes and even designing vibrant new book covers. It was a fantastic day filled with creativity and fun!
