Last week, we had our Key Stage 2 Carol Concert at the church of St Mary and St Cuthbert in Chester-le-Street. Our Year 6 children told us all about Christmas traditions that have come from the original Christmas story of the birth of Jesus. We also had some beautiful singing of carols and songs including The First Nowell, Christmas Song, Jingle Bells and Mary had a Baby. Our choir, who this week have visited Lindisfarne Care Home, also led us in singing Silent Night. The night ended with us all joining in with O Little Town of Bethlehem. Christmas is certainly getting closer.
